Immortal Desires

I had a rough January. One of my only reprieves was reading through stories on the app game Choices. For the uninitiated, it's an app full of interactable books, where you can customize the main character and make choices that affect the outcomes of the story. 

Immortal Desires is one of the stories on the app. It's pretty much a basic cheesy teen vampire romance novel---which, admittedly, is a comfort genre of mine. I got attached pretty quickly to the bad boy love interest, Cas Harlow. And it actually inspired me to draw, hence the art.

Was this just an excuse to be a gay simp for a fictional vampire? Why yes, yes it was. But I deserve a little simping...just as a treat.

And in my head, you're already snugglin' with Jack when he turns to look at you and says nothing more than "hey gay", with a warm smirk. And once he realizes that you understood what he meant, he recoils like a startled cat that needs to calm down first before he can process what just happened. And then there's soft handholding. And leaning in for a kiss. ❤️

How They Confess

For the anon who wanted to know how the characters would confess their feelings, and how they would react if the reader confessed first.

This includes Jack, Will, Lizzie, James, Beckett, and Barbossa.

Jack:

Jack isn’t one to make a grand show of things, and if he’s to confess, it’ll be in a moment of simplicity. You’ll be curled up together in his cabin, warm and drowsy, soft light shining out from the lanterns. He can only admit it to you when he’s completely relaxed—he can hardly admit it to himself sometimes, how much he loves you. But he says it softly in your ear, and you’re more pleased than surprised, already tangled together in the sheets. Your brain’s a bit fuzzy anyway, and the full weight of it wouldn’t hit you until the next morning. But by then he’s up and out on deck, and you’re left with the knowledge that he really does love you after all. 

If you’re the first to confess, Jack would be taken aback. He doesn’t expect you to love him, not really, so it comes as a bit of a shock to his system. It would take him some time to process, too, and he has to do some serious introspection before he can say it back. Love is a heavy thing in his eyes, and he’s not about to mess it up. 

Will:

Though he can be bashful, Will is completely unashamed of his feelings for you. If you’re of the same social station, he’ll simply tell you how he feels by taking you out for a walk along the oceanfront. If you’re too far above him on the social ladder, he’ll keep his feelings to himself, though they shine through with all the things he does for you to make life easier and more convenient. 

If you speak up first, Will’s a little embarrassed, but in a good way. He feels a little guilty for not saying anything, but quickly gets over it; he’s just happy you feel the same, and that you’re comfortable enough in your affection to tell him. He likes that you can own it—not everyone is attracted to blacksmiths. Besides, hearing the words from you is just the confidence boost he needs. 

Elizabeth:

Elizabeth wants to make her confession as perfect as she can. She does it over a nice dinner, just the two of you, and she’s pulled out the candles for the occasion. She’s a romantic at heart, and wants to have the right atmosphere in which to tell you how she feels. She’s really one for the aesthetic. It’s honestly rather cute, the effort she puts in, and you’d be lying if you said you didn’t enjoy it. 

If you’re the first to confess, Lizzie is just delighted. She has butterflies for days, and be prepared for all the secret little messages dictated by high society. I’m talking fan-signals, flower language, the whole package. Even though she loves you earnestly, and even though you know both know it, she’s absolutely going to make the most of the courtship process and all it entails.

James:

We all know how awkward James is about confessing his feelings. He’s been rehearsing for days, and is almost too anxious to do it in the first place. He’s afraid of coming off too strong, and overanalyzes every interaction you’ve had together. He ensures the setting is both pleasant and proper, and though it may seem a little stiff, you’re aware the confession is genuine. That being said, the moment you indicate the feeling is mutual, his composure cracks and he gives you that huge smile he tries so hard to hide. 

If you beat him to it, he’d be shocked. Not only is he surprised that you made the first move, which is so expected of him, but he honestly had no idea you felt that way about him. It takes him a good long time to find the right words to tell you he feels the same, and you’ll have to be patient as he recovers from his astonishment. 

Beckett:

This man is never, ever, going to admit to loving you. He won’t even let himself think about his affection for you. In all truth and honesty, he’s terrified of his feelings, seeing them as a weakness that someone will figure out and exploit. He’s also afraid you won’t feel the same way. How could you? It would take a serious moment of vulnerability—either when something awful happens to you, or when you show him honest tenderness. Either way, it’s completely unexpected and almost unbelievable…until you see the fear in his eyes and realize it’s the truth. 

If you make the first move, Beckett doesn’t think you’re serious. He’s willing to play along, but he figures you want something from him. So he brushes it off, though your words linger in his mind for days after. He’s probably in his office doing paperwork when it hits him that you were being completely serious, and he’s absolutely overcome by it. He makes sure to explain himself when he sees you next; he just didn’t think someone could feel that way about him. 

Barbossa:

Barbossa is, if nothing else, a gentleman at heart. Again, this will likely be a dinner confession, though Hector isn’t nearly as anxious as Elizabeth might be. He’s been around a while, and he’s really only going to say anything if he’s fairly certain you’re interested. He also isn’t offended if you reject—he completely understands why someone wouldn’t want to be with him. He’s relaxed about the whole affair so you never have to feel nervous over any of it. If it turns out you are interested, he’s going to treat you with perfect curtesy and warm affection.

If you’re the first to say anything, Hector’s a bit smug. He might be slightly sheepish that you beat him to it, but overall, he’s happy to hear you say it. He’ll tease you over it in good humor, though he knows you can give as good as you get. He’s secretly happy to hear you say it because he’s insecure about his age.

soap takes a live drawing class at the local uni while he's on leave. it's just something for him to do while he's home, and it's a good outlet for letting out all that extra energy since he's not running halfway across the world.

though, he might lose it in class one day when the model asks the professor if she should "remove her nipple piercings" for the session or not. (your breasts, and by extension your nipple piercings, are the most detailed part of his whole sketch by the end of the period).

Hidden in Plain Sight

Pairing: Lip Gallagher x Reader

Warning: Unedited, I'm not sure how I feel about this one.

Summary: Lip Gallagher secretly dates someone outside his chaotic world, but their hidden relationship grows harder to maintain as the tension between them builds. After a Gallagher party and a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven, they finally reveal their romance, leading to a mix of teasing and acceptance from the family.

Lip Gallagher had never believed in the concept of comfort. In the Gallagher world, comfort was a luxury—one that didn’t exist in his universe. But then, she showed up. She was different. Calm in a way that made him feel like maybe, just maybe, he could find a little peace.

It all started the night she led him into her bathroom for a bath. Lip had laughed at first. A bath? He was a Gallagher, for God’s sake. He didn’t do baths. He did survival, did self-reliance, did fighting through each day like it was the last. But she had her way of convincing him.

"You’ll love it," she had teased, running the water with a familiar ease, as if this was something he’d done his whole life.

"Seriously?" Lip had said, eyeing the oversized tub like it might swallow him whole. "You’re joking, right?"

"Nope. You need to relax, Lip. Trust me."

At first, it was awkward. He sat at the edge, arms crossed, trying to look like he was too cool for something this soft. But as the steam filled the room, as the lavender scent slowly settled around him, something inside him softened. He hadn’t realized how much he’d been carrying, how tight his body always was, until it began to unwind under the warm water.

"Alright, this isn't terrible," Lip muttered, looking over at her as she sat beside him, a knowing smile on her lips.

She leaned in closer, her voice almost a whisper. "See? You don’t always have to fight, Lip."

He chuckled, something between disbelief and real affection in his eyes. "It’s just… weird. But, yeah. I could get used to this."

And so began the unraveling of the walls Lip had carefully built around himself. That moment in the bathroom was only the beginning.

It had been weeks since that night. Things between them weren’t official, but everyone could feel the shift. Lip didn’t talk about it—hell, he barely let himself think about it—but there was no denying it: he was starting to care. More than he’d allowed himself to care for anything in a long time.

The secrecy, though, was killing him. It wasn’t about shame. He wasn’t ashamed of her. It was fear. Fear that if it came out—if the chaos of his family got wind of this—they’d tear it apart. Everyone had an opinion, and no one held back. And if it went wrong… He couldn’t bear to imagine it.

Still, he loved the thrill. The sneaking around. The stolen glances when no one was looking. The quiet moments when they’d slip into each other’s rooms before the sun came up.

One night, after an exhausting day full of Gallagher-family drama, they found themselves at yet another one of their infamous parties. Music blasting, people arguing, Fiona reigning over the madness like the queen she was. But Lip couldn't focus on any of that. His eyes kept finding her across the room—her quiet smile, the way she rolled her eyes at his brothers. He couldn't help it; he was drawn to her in ways that made him forget about everything else.

Debbie nudged her, breaking her from the trance. “What’s up with you? You’re blushing like crazy.”

She laughed nervously, trying to play it off. "Just hot in here."

But Lip, never one to let an opportunity pass, caught her eye from across the room. His smirk was obvious, and as he passed by, his fingers brushed the small of her back. The brief contact sent a jolt through her, making her heart race.

Debbie raised an eyebrow. “Are you sure there’s nothing else going on?”

She shifted uncomfortably, forcing a smile. “Just drop it.”

But Lip wasn’t done. He leaned against the kitchen counter, watching her with amusement. She could feel the heat of his gaze on her, and she knew he was enjoying every moment of this teasing.

Eventually, she couldn’t take it anymore. Excusing herself from Debbie and Kev, she slipped into the bathroom for a breather. But before she could close the door, Lip appeared, stepping into the pantry with a grin that made her pulse spike.

“Lip!” she hissed, looking over her shoulder. “Are you insane? Someone’s going to see us!”

“Nah,” he said, closing the door behind him. “I’ve been watching you all night. You drive me crazy.”

She rolled her eyes, trying to maintain some composure. “You’re the one who keeps staring.”

His smile widened, and before she could protest, he stepped closer, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. His touch was slow, deliberate, and it made her breath catch.

“Relax,” Lip murmured, his lips brushing against her temple. “I’m not going to do anything. Just wanted a minute with you.”

Before she could reply, the sound of someone calling his name from the kitchen broke the spell.

“Better get back before they send in a search party,” she said, her voice breathless.

Lip gave her a quick kiss on the forehead before stepping back. “Yeah, yeah. I’m going.”

She waited a few moments after he left before slipping out herself. The entire encounter had left her dizzy, conflicted. She was falling for him, but the fear of getting caught, of losing it all, was starting to suffocate her.

Later that night, someone suggested a round of Seven Minutes in Heaven. Her stomach sank. The thought of being locked in a tiny room with Ian of all people made her want to hide under the couch cushions. But when the bottle landed on Ian for her turn, she couldn’t hide her panic.

Lip’s jaw clenched. She could see it—how much he hated this, hated that their relationship was still a secret, hated that someone else was about to be close to her.

“Well, go on,” Fiona teased, not sensing the tension in the air.

Ian, ever the good sport, shrugged and held out his hand. “Guess we’re doing this.”

The bathroom door slammed shut behind them, and the awkwardness was immediate. They both stood there for a long moment, not quite sure what to say.

“So… you and Lip?” Ian asked, breaking the silence.

Her heart stuttered in her chest. “What?”

Ian smirked, clearly amused by her feigned ignorance. “Don’t play dumb. I’ve known for months. Lip’s not exactly subtle.”

Her face burned. “Does everyone know?”

“Nah,” Ian shrugged. “Just me. Maybe Fiona. But don’t worry, I won’t say anything. It’s kind of sweet, actually.”

“Sweet?” she echoed, confused.

“Yeah, sweet. In a Gallagher kind of way.”

Before she could respond, someone banged on the door. “Time’s up!”

She and Ian stumbled out of the bathroom, met by the chorus of teasing from the others. When her eyes met Lip’s, his expression was unreadable—though she could see the fire behind it.

By the end of the night, the secrecy was weighing on her like a lead blanket. Sitting beside Lip on the couch, her hand resting on his knee beneath the blanket, she couldn’t take it anymore.

“Lip,” she whispered, leaning in closer to him.

He tilted his head, looking at her. “Yeah?”

“Let’s tell them.”

He frowned slightly, clearly surprised. “You sure?”

She nodded. “I’m tired of hiding. I don’t care what they think.”

Lip hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Alright. Let’s do it.”

With her heart pounding, she stood up, Lip following suit. Together, they faced the crowd of people. The music slowed, conversations dying as all eyes turned to them.

“We’ve been seeing each other,” she said, the words coming out faster than she intended.

There was a moment of stunned silence. Then Fiona grinned widely. “Took you long enough.”

Carl’s voice rang out in the silence. “Wait! That means those marks on Lip’s neck—”

“Yep,” Debbie chimed in with a smirk, drawing a laugh from the others.

Her face turned bright red, but Lip just laughed, pulling her closer. “What can I say? She’s got good aim.”

The room erupted in laughter, and for the first time in months, she felt a sense of relief. No more hiding, no more pretending. This—this was real.

Lip pressed a kiss to her temple, whispering, “Told you it’d be fine.”

And for the first time in a long while, she knew he was right. The secret was out. And the thrill of hiding had nothing on the feeling of finally being real.

So, I finally got my hands on the Dragon Prince art book for Christmas, which inspired me to revisit my old concept for a self-insert OC of the Dragon Prince. Here's the concept art that evolved from that!

Affection Contest

Just a silly comic I felt like making.

Thinking about a Tav that Astarion despises deeply at first cause not only they're a goodie-two shoes but on top of that they're shy/have no presence/no autority etc. Then at some point he makes a dark joke and Tav laughs so hard the whole party stops to look at them. Eventually Astarion realizes that Tav is the only one who laughs at his jokes, and when Tav is comfortable enough with the group/certain members of the party, they start using sarcasm and dark humour all the time. And Astarion hates that he loves it. His brain cannot compute how you two can have the same humour while being so different. He's also intrigued by the fact that you’re apparently a completely different person once you’re used to people. And he's a tiiiny bit offended that you’re so comfortable with Wyll and Karlach but when he tries to participate in the convo you clam up and turn back into the little mouse from the start of your journey.

Look, I don't know much of anything about DC. I chose Marvel, and I will continue to be the petty Marvel>>>>>DC person FOR LIFE. BUT I am RELUCTANTLY getting into DC, and what I do know is that I could NEVER be a part of the batfam. Like-
